2 Bedroom Duplex in Alea, Baixa, Lisboa

Alea

Between the River and the Castle, to live and invest in the heart of Baixa Pombalina

Alea is born from the careful renovation of a traditional building on Rua da Madalena, one of the most emblematic and desirable streets in Baixa Pombalina, where Lisbon’s history is present in every facade. As highlighted in the project materials, it is a “historic building (Between the River and the Castle)”, located in an area of high heritage value and integrated into the city’s urban rehabilitation zone.

Living here means enjoying the rare privilege of being in the very center of Lisbon while benefiting from the tranquility and perspective that only the upper floors can offer. As described in the official brochure, Alea provides “stunning views” and the unique experience of “living downtown while seeing the city from above” — panoramic views that stretch across historic rooftops, the hills and even the Tagus River.

The project transforms a typical Lisbon building into a contemporary, functional and elegant residential development, preserving its original character while introducing durable materials, modern solutions and bright, well‑designed layouts. According to the documents, the apartments result from a “clever reorganization of the building”, creating units that are “spacious, functional and bright”.

With 12 apartments (from studios to T2+1) and 3 retail spaces, Alea is designed for those seeking comfort, authenticity and a balanced urban lifestyle — whether a young couple, an international buyer or an investor, as indicated in the project brief.

Living at Alea means embracing the very best of Lisbon: the vibrant energy of Baixa at your doorstep, the proximity to the river, the historical charm of every street and the luminous tranquility of a home elevated above the city. It is a complete experience, where location, architecture and quality of life come together in a truly distinctive project.
